CONJECT welcomes US students to London

Georgia Tech students in Greenwich Park, LondonThrough our involvement with Gleeds USA and Atlanta Gas Light’s STRIDE program in Atlanta, we have been building a strong relationship with students at the Georgia Tech School of Building Construction. Earlier this summer, we were delighted to host a UK visit from the School, which is one of the top five building and construction schools in the US.

The students visited CONJECT client, ISG, and heard about ISG’s business and its involvement in many of the largest construction projects in UK as we moved towards the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Vince Busk, Health & Safety Q&E Director in the Construction group, told the students about ISG’s approach to the successful delivery of the velodrome and how this approach and the ISG’s business culture helped it win an additional project. ISG delivered a programme to build various temporary facilities, and the students’ visit culminated with a trip to Greenwich Park, with Martin Roberts of ISG, to view the temporary construction of the equestrian arena.
