Client wins award at National Constructing Excellence ceremony

constructing excellenceOn Friday 30th November CONJECT attended the 2012 National Constructing Excellence Awards in London and joined over 400 of the UK’s most influential figures in construction for an awards and dinner ceremony.

CONJECT sponsored the Integration and Collaborative working award category and senior account manager James Still (pictured left) was pleased to present the category’s Highly Commended Award to Connect Plus’s Commercial Manager Chris Richardson.

CE National Awards

Connect Plus are a consortium consisting of Balfour Beatty, Atkins, Skanska and Egis Road Operation who are responsible for managing and improving the M25 orbital motorway. The award was given for the Dartford West Tunnel Resurfacing project which Connect Plus and Jackson Civil engineering were responsible for. When describing why this scheme deserved the award the judges said:

“The Highly Commended award is a first-class example of the Client, Contractor and wider supply-chain integrating and collaborating to deliver a complex and challenging project successfully, without incident, and to very tight timescales.  Through early engagement, issues and risks associated with the initial methodology, which could have resulted in severe disruption on one of Britain’s busiest road networks, were identified and eliminated from the programme.”

With the conject Project Control platform supporting the Connect Plus consortium (and having been used on this particular project), everyone at CONJECT was delighted to see one of our customers being recognised for such an award.
