2018 FIFA World Cup Russia stadiums kick off with CONJECT

world-cup-russia-2018We are pleased to announce that the CONJECT pm platform has been selected by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Sports Engineering” of Russia to assist in the delivery of four major new stadium projects for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

CONJECT fought off competition from large IT companies such as Microsoft and Oracle, and was chosen for its best value-for-money ratio, easy interface, fast roll-out capabilities and expertise in helping to deliver sporting stadia and associated facilities and infrastructure.

CONJECT has a proven track record when it comes to projects in the sports sector.  For instance, our seven year association with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games began back in July 2006 when infrastructure engineers Murphys Group selected our software to support the Lower Lea Valleys cable tunnels project. The scheme was one of the first phase projects to take place at the Olympic park site in Stratford, East London. At the same time, LOCOG’s preferred developer Lend Lease began works to deliver the £1.5bn Athletes Village on the Olympic park in London and used our software platform to integrate the project teams with all of the design and construction information.

Our links with the London 2012 games continued when contractor ISG decided to use our systems (including our NEC3 Contract Management module) to deliver the iconic Velodrome. ISG then rolled out the software for use on the on-park construction works at the Olympic Park.  LOCOG went on to appoint ISG as construction managers for the remaining off-park and non-competition venues, which consisted of 97 separate projects including training facilities, transportation hubs and viewing platforms. Once again, the CONJECT platform was used by ISG to successfully deliver all of these projects. ISG Velodrome Hopkins Flags copyright

Today our  association with London 2012 continues as Mace are using the software on the post-games legacy works and Lend Lease continue to use our applications for the retrofit of the Athletes Village into a residential community.

In addition to London 2012, CONJECT’s systems have been used for a number of years on a variety of sporting projects across Europe, The Middle-East and Asia. For example, CONJECT pm is currently being used to help the delivery of the $1.5bn VTB arena multi-purpose stadium in Moscow which is due for completion in 2016.

The four stadium projects that CONJECT are supporting in Russia are located at: Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd and Ekaterinburg. To find out more about the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia please click here.
